In exercise of the power vested by clause 8(a) of the constitution of the Students’ Union of Netaji Nagar Day College, the undersigned, as the President of Netaji Nagar Day College Students’ Union, declares that the Election of the Students’ Union will be held on 20.01.2012 (10:30 AM to 2:30 PM).

Election Officer for the purpose of conducting the Students’ Union. Election to be held on 20.01.2012

Rules for Students’ Union Election – 2012

 

  1. Candidates should submit the Nomination form personally or through website within schedule date and time.    For website submission, the candidate should fill in the nomination form along with the signature of candidate, proposer and seconder, then scan the same and send it to the following e-mail address of the College:  nndcollege11@gmail.com .
  2. Format of Nomination form will be uploaded in the College website, displayed in the Notice board and also be available in the college office.
  3. Photo(only for candidate) should be affixed in the nomination form.
  4. Candidate / one representative (student of same class) of the candidate will only be allowed inside the room for scrutiny /  withdrawal / election /counting of votes (constituency wise) at the time of scrutiny/  withdrawal / election/counting of votes (constituency wise). 
  5. Incomplete / wrongly filled / overwritten nomination form will be cancelled. Nomination paper ( scanned) received through website should be examined and candidates will be called for proof of signature at the time of scrutiny,  Candidates submitted the nomination paper through website should bring the ‘original filled in nomination paper’ at the time of scrutiny.
  6. Only one Nomination form will be accepted from one candidate.
  7. A student can propose / second one candidate only.
  8. No candidate can propose or second any other candidate.
  9. On the dates of submission / scrutiny / withdrawal of nomination papers, the students have to show their documents of bona fide studentship at the College gate to enter inside the College campus. As documents a student should bring fees book and college id card/college library id card. Students will not be allowed to enter college campus with mobile phone, camera or with any type of container like bags etc. All students’ activities except examination, if any, will remain suspended on those days. On the said dates, only candidate or one of his/her representative ( same class)  will be allowed to enter the college campus on production of “the receipt of the nomination form or the original nomination form , if submitted through e-mail.
    On the day of election, only bona fide students will e allowed to enter in the college premises by showing the fees book and college id card/college library id card.
    After casting his/her vote a student , except the candidate or one of his/her representative in   his/her ( candidate)  absence should leave the college premises. 
  10.  After the vote has been cast, ‘vote (2012) cast’ stamp will be put on the fees book of the respective student. 
  11. Rules for casting vote : A voter should cast his vote by putting (Tick) sign in the box against his preferred candidates. In a constituency, a voter should not cast more votes than the  number of class representatives to be elected. But he/she can cast lesser number of votes than  the number of class representatives to be elected. If a voter casts more votes than the number of class representatives to be elected, his ballot will be considered as cancelled.
  12.  Application forms filled in by students at the time of admission will be provided in  original to the respective rooms. In case the identity of a voter is challenged, then the office   record will be checked to ascertain the identity of the voter. In that case the decision of the presiding officer will be final and binding. Legal will be taken in case of any attempted of false voting.
  13.  Pen will supplied by the college for casting vote.
