ISSUE OF ADMISSION FORMS FOR HONOURS &
GENERAL IN 1ST YEAR CLASS, SESSION 2012 - 2013
APPLICATION FORMS WITH PROSPECTUS WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM COLLEGE OFFICE
FROM 9 A.M. TO 3 P.M (MONDAY – FRIDAY) AND 9 A.M. TO 12 NOON (SATURDAY)
FROM 05.06.2012 TO 14.06.2012,
ON PAYMENT OF RS. 100 /- (TENDER EXACT AMOUNT)
AND
ON PRODUCTION OF ORIGINAL MARKSHEET AND S.C. / S.T. / P.C. CERTIFICATE, WHEREVER APPLICABLE. |
NORMS FOR ISSUANCE OF HONOURS & GENERAL ADMISSION FORMS:-
PASSED 10+2 EXAMINATION OR ITS EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION IN 2009 AND ONWARDS ARE ELIGIBLE,
FOR HONOURS 45% IN THE SUBJECT OR RELATED SUBJECTS AND 200 IN AGGREGATE IN BEST OF FOUR SUBJECTS (EXCEPT ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION / STUDIES)
OR
55% marks in the subject or related subjects.
OR
50% marks in the aggregate (Except environmental Education / Studies) when the candidate has not studied the subject in previous qualifying exam.
FOR S.C. & S.T. CANDIDATES 40 % MARKS IN AGGREGATE OR 40% MARKS IN THE SUBJECT OR RELATED SUBJECTS IN H.S. EXAMINATION OR EQUIVALENT.
Mathematics (Honours) : 60% marks in Mathematics / Business Mathematics. |
Explanation of the Term ‘Aggregate Marks’ for General Students of all stream.
As per Calcutta University Notification No. CSR/54/09:-
Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate (except Environmental Studies & Education Studies).

Merit List
“MERIT LIST FOR ADMISSION” ALONG WITH “LIST OF TOTAL SUBMITTED FORMS AS PER MERIT” WILL BE PUBLISHED LATEST BY 22.06.12 IN THE COLLEGE NOTICE BOARD AND IN THE COLLEGE WEB SITE (http://www.nndcollege.com).

- MERIT LIST WILL BE PREPARED FOR HONOURS - ON THE BASIS OF AGGREGATE MARKS BY ADDING MARKS IN TOP 4 (FOUR) SUBJECTS AND THE HONOURS SUBJECT SECURED IN THE PREVIOUS QUALIFYING EXAMINATION.
- MERIT LIST WILL BE PREPARED FOR GENERAL - ON THE BASIS OF THE AGGREGATE MARKS SECURED IN THE PREVIOUS QUALIFYING EXAMINATION.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION OF ADMISSION FORM:-
- ONE RECENT STAMP-SIZE PHOTOGRAPH TO BE FIXED IN ADMISSION FORM ON THE TOP.
- ONE XEROX COPY OF MADHYAMIK ADMIT CARD AND TWO XEROX COPIES OF HIGHER SECONDARY ADMIT CARD AND MARK-SHEET (WITHOUT ATTESTATION).
- S.C. / S.T. /P.C. CANDIDATES ARE TO ENCLOSE TWO XEROX COPIES OF S.C. / S.T. / P.C. CERTIFICATES (WITHOUT ATTESTATION).
- ORIGINAL MARKSHEET & ADMIT CARD OF MADHYAMIK AND H.S. EXAM, S.C. / S. T. / P.C. CERTIFICATES (WHEREVER APPLICABLE) AND ONE RECENT STAMP-SIZE PHOTOGRAPH ARE TO BE PRODUCED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION.

Admission Criteria
1. No Direct Admission will be available.
2. Merit list for Honours in a subject in B.A./B.Sc. will be prepared by adding marks in top four subjects eligible for consideration as per Calcutta University norm in order of marks secured by a candidate in last qualifying examination and the marks obtained in that subject or related subject.
3. Merit list for Honours in ‘Accounting and Finance’ and ‘Marketing’ will be prepared by adding marks in the top four subjects (except environmental education/studies) in order of marks secured by a candidate in last qualifying examination and marks obtained in Accountancy/Mathematics/Statistics.
B.Com. Honours Courses in ‘Accounting and Finance’ or ‘Marketing’ the word subject or related subject means the following:
Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organization, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economics, statistics, Business studies, Office Practice and Secretarial, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy & Principle of Management.
4. Merit list for General in B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks secured in last qualifying examination.
